What aviation fuels does RD Petroleum supply?
We supply both Avgas and Jet A-1, the two standard grades for general and commercial aviation. Avgas is used in piston-engine aircraft, while Jet A-1 fuels turbine and jet engines. We source our aviation fuel directly from Air BP.
Where are your aviation fuels sourced and delivered from?
All fuel is sourced from BP terminals in Christchurch, Dunedin, Wellington, Mt Maunganui, and Auckland, ensuring consistent national supply. Dedicated RDP aviation tankers transport product directly from terminal to site, maintaining product integrity throughout the journey.
Are you certified for aviation fuel handling?
Yes. RD Petroleum Aviation is certified under CAA Part 19F, which covers all aspects of aviation fuel distribution, transport, and safety. Our systems, drivers, and equipment all operate to high standards for quality and compliance.
How do I apply for the Air BP / RD Petroleum Sterling Card?
You can apply online through RDP’s Aviation page. Once approved, you’ll receive your card and a full guide on how to access the Air BP network. The card allows 24-hour self-service refuelling at more than 60 Air BP sites nationwide, all consolidated under a single monthly statement.
Where can I use the Sterling Card?
The card is accepted at Air BP refuelling sites nationwide, including major regional airports and airfields. You can also access the Air BP Aircraft Refuelling Guide or download RDP’s Aviation Fuel Map to confirm specific locations and site details.
Do you provide bulk aviation fuel for businesses or aero clubs?
Yes. We deliver bulk Avgas and Jet A-1 for agricultural operations, aero clubs, and commercial aviation clients. Delivery schedules can be set up on a regular or as-needed basis through our aviation operations team.
