Brian Hammond farms in partnership with his wife Karen at Hammond Rural Holdings, with both of their sons and Brian's father also involved in the business. Between them they run 1300 sheep, around 4000 store stock and 100 cattle, farm 180 hectares of arable land, and carry out contract cropping and farming work, a business they've built up since 2002.
