Purpose
This Privacy Policy explains how RD Petroleum Ltd ("RD Petroleum", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores, protects and discloses personal information about our customers and other individuals who interact with us in connection with our products, services, website or business operations.

This Policy applies to personal information we collect from or about customers, prospective customers, guarantors, account signatories, authorized representatives, website users, and other individuals who deal with us in connection with our business.
Where we provide services to you under separate terms and conditions, those terms and conditions should be read together with this Policy. If there is any inconsistency between the terms and this Policy, the terms will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency
What personal information we collect

To supply products and services, manage deliveries, administer accounts and provide customer support;

When we may disclose personal information

Cloud services and overseas disclosure
We may store or process personal information using third-party service providers, including cloud-based systems such as Microsoft 365. In some cases, this may involve personal information being stored in, accessed from, or disclosed to service providers or systems located outside New Zealand.
Where we disclose personal information outside New Zealand, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the information is protected by safeguards that are comparable to those required under New Zealand privacy law, or otherwise ensure that the disclosure is permitted by the Privacy Act 2020.

We hold personal information in electronic and physical form. We use reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information from loss, unauthorised access, use, modification, disclosure and other misuse.

Accuracy of personal information
We ask that you let us know if your personal information changes. We will also take reasonable steps, in the circumstances, to ensure that personal information we use or disclose is accurate, up to date, complete, relevant and not misleading.
How long we keep personal information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purposes for which it was collected, or as otherwise required or permitted by law. When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete, destroy or de-identify it.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and you may request correction of that information if you think it is inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or misleading.
We will respond to access and correction requests as soon as reasonably practicable and within the timeframes required by the Privacy Act 2020. If we do not agree to make a requested correction, you may ask us to attach a statement of correction to the relevant information.

Website, communications and marketing
If you use our website or interact with us electronically, we may collect information submitted by you and information generated through your use of the website or our communications channels.
