Cole Takes Out Best Volvo at the Invercargill Truck Show

Our Invercargill driver Cole has taken home Best Volvo at the Southland Transport Invercargill Truck Show, held over Labour Weekend. It's a fantastic result for Cole, and one the whole RD Petroleum team is proud of.

The award recognises the Volvo that stood out most on the day. Up against some of the best-presented trucks in the South, Cole's unit caught the judges' eye and took out the title.

A first for New Zealand

Cole was behind the wheel of our new 2026 Volvo FM 540 8x4R, a versatile fleet truck built for bulk liquid transport. It's the first Euro 6 Volvo FM fuel tanker in New Zealand.

Euro 6 is the latest European emissions standard, and it means a cleaner-running engine on every delivery. Paired with its tanker trailer and finished in our green and gold livery, unit 2263 is a proud addition to our fleet.

Pride in the gear

Cole takes real pride in the truck he drives, and it showed. He put serious time, care and effort into getting it show-ready, and that work paid off with a well-deserved win.

That same attention to detail is what keeps our fleet safe, reliable and looking sharp on the road every day. Cole's result is a great reflection of the standards our drivers set for themselves.

A great day for the South

The Invercargill Truck Show is an iconic event on the Southland calendar. Each Labour Weekend it brings together transport operators, drivers and families from across the region to celebrate the trucks and people who keep the South moving.

A big thank you to Southland Transport and everyone involved in putting on another great event.

Congratulations, Cole

Well done, Cole, on a brilliant achievement. Your hard work and pride in the job do the whole team proud.
