Every Thursday, we're handing the camera over to the people who know our roads best, our drivers. Each week one of the team sends in their favourite shot from a delivery, and we share it here along with a bit about where it was taken and what they were up to.
This week's shot comes from Cole, out on an early run across Southland.
Driver: Cole
Route/Location: Rural Southland
Delivery: Fuel transport
Cole caught this one on an early start, with the rig parked up on a high point overlooking the Southland countryside as the sun came up over the hills. Early mornings are part and parcel of the job, getting fuel where it needs to be often means being on the road well before most people are awake, but views like this one are a pretty good trade-off.
It's a good reminder of just how much ground our drivers cover to keep rural Southland running, often well outside standard hours.
