There's nothing quite like the Goldfields Heritage Trust Cavalcade, days on end in the saddle, remote high country, and a community of riders who show up year after year for the sheer love of it. This year, RD Petroleum was proud to play a part, supporting the Mick O'Callaghan Riding Trail with both fuel sponsorship and merch for the riders.
The Cavalcade is no easy outing. Riders cover long days at a walking pace through some of the country's most striking backcountry, relying on careful planning, good horses, and a trail boss who knows the ground. It's an event built on tradition, resilience, and a genuine love of the land, and it's easy to see why it's become a fixture on so many riders' calendars.
For us, sponsoring this trail was about more than putting our name on a jacket. Getting people, gear, and supplies safely through remote terrain over multiple days takes reliable fuel supply, something we're proud to help provide, keeping the journey moving so riders can focus on the ride itself.
It was fantastic to see the trail come together, from the first riders saddling up to the last stretch home. A big thank you to the organisers, to Mick and his team for leading the way, and to everyone who rode this year.
We're already looking forward to being part of the next one.
