Spring is one of the busiest fuelling periods. Tractors are running long days for cultivation, planting, and spraying. Irrigation pumps start coming online as temperatures rise. For a mid-sized sheep and beef or cropping operation, it's common to see fuel use jump 30–50% above the winter baseline during this period.
Summer (December – February)
Summer demand depends heavily on your operation type. Cropping and arable farms hit their peak during harvest, with combines, chaser bins, and grain dryers all pulling from the same tank. Dairy operations typically see steadier demand. This is the time of year when an unexpected supply disruption can cause real problems, plan your summer deliveries early.
Autumn (March – May)
Autumn brings a second busy period for many farms, cultivation after harvest, silage making, and the start of winter prep. It's also when you want to make sure your fuel storage is in good shape before the wet season makes access to some sites more difficult.
Winter (June – August)
