Warbirds Over Wanaka
RD Petroleum are excited about Warbirds Over Wanaka coming up this Easter (March 30th – Sunday 1st of April).
This year will be the 30th anniversary of Warbirds Over Wanaka. With it being the anniversary, Warbirds Over Wanaka are set to re-enact some of the most popular acts of the past three decades, so it’s set to be a stellar show.
There will be a range of amazing aircraft on display. Crowd favourites; Spitfire, Corsair, P40 Kittyhawk, P51 Mustang and Catalina are all expected to be there. The Wanaka Warhorses will be out re-enacting with classic gear from WWI and WWII. The RNZAFs new Black Falcons will be putting on a full aerobatic display for the first time at Wanaka. On Monday the 2nd, various aircraft owners will be available for people to have a ride (best to pre-book if you’re interested).
Gates open at 7:30 am, with static aircraft displays, aviation trade stands, market stalls, merchandise and food and beverage vendors operating. You’ll spot people flying over practising during this time, but the real show starts at 10:00 am.
Best to get in and buy your tickets soon, as with it being the 30th anniversary event, it’s set to be an amazing show this year. Buy online from Warbirds Over Wanaka.
